Digital Biomarker Scientist – 6112 URA

 

Our client is a pioneer in Drug Discovery and Development and one of the frontrunners in Personalised Healthcare. As the world`s largest R&D spender in the pharmaceutical and diagnostics domain, they work in a vast number of drug discovery & therapeutic areas and are highly recognized internationally.

 

The perfect candidate for this role has a University degree in Life Sciences or related field with a minimum of 5 years related experience in the pharmaceutical and is interested in the digital health industry. Additionally this person has deep experience in the area of sensor data and digital biomarker development and speaks fluent English. This is a initial 12 months contract with a high chance of extension to be working from Basel office in Hybrid model.

Main Responsibilities

 

·      Identify and develop scientific concepts to address the unmet measurement needs

·      Develop scientific core messages for product marketing

·      Support interactions with customers during the pre- and post-sales phases

·      Contribute to the communication of scientific results at conferences and in peer-reviewed publications

 

Qualifications and Experience:

 

·      Relevant Swiss working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required

·      University degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Life Sciences or related field with a minimum of 5 years related experience in the pharmaceutical and digital health industry

·      Track record of writing compelling publications in high impact, peer reviewed journals

·      Deep experience in the area of sensor data and digital biomarker development

·      Transparent communicator and able to apply effective empowering leadership

·      Previous clinical experience in Neuroscience (especially Parkinson’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis)

·      Hands-on work with sensor or other high frequency/complex time series data, including feature engineering

·      Experience with developing digital biomarkers, digital clinical outcomes and digital endpoints

·      FDA/EMA regulatory interactions or regulatory consortias regarding clinical drug development and novel drug development endpoints

·      Experience with engineering hardware for remote patient monitoring and sensor data collection
